Our Founder & CEO
David Feltz| Founder & CEO of Second Chance at Life
I didn’t come from a boardroom- I came from the block.
Before I was a CEO, I was a convict. Before I was a mentor, I was a menace. I’ve been addicted, incarcerates, broken, betrayed, and left for dead—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. But I didn’t stay there. I fought my way out of the pit. And now I spend my life reaching back in to pull others out.
My name is David Feltz, and I’m the founder of Second Chance at Life– a movement built for the forgotten, the written-off, and the ones people cross the streets to avoid. This isn’t charity—it’s transformation. We take men and women from the streets, from jail cells, from trap houses, and trauma— and walk them into purpose, dignity, and a real change.
I built this organization, because I lived the life. I sold dope. I chased fast money. I buried friends. I slept in darkness and called it normal. But God wasn’t done with me, and when I hit bottom, I found my mission: To make sure the next one behind me doesn’t die in the same hole.
Second Chance at Life isn’t just a program—it’s a ware on the things that destroy people. We run life recovery groups, re-entry support, life skills classes, job readiness, mentorship, and housing pathways. We speak truth. We build family. We hold people accountable. And we love hard.
I don’t wear a mask. My past in our front, because it proves what is possible. Now I walk with city officials, union leaders, judges, business owners, and street soldiers alike—because redemption doesn’t have a look, it has a heartbeat.
My personal belief : The streets raised me, prison humbled me, recovery changed me—but purpose defines me.
I will spend the rest of my life helping others discover theirs.
